  1. Upgrade to windows pro via store, resulted in inactivated version of windows enterprise...

    Hello,

I had a win 10 home licence for a few years, purchased from the Microsoft store. I just upgraded to win 10 pro via the Microsoft store. Having completed the upgrade to pro automatically, my computer now says it has windows 10 enterprise version installed and that it is not activated. I am unable to troubleshoot the error and have not received a product key or anything else that I can use to activate my system. Further more, since I have an enterprise version (I assume) it says that I should contact my system administrator for information. I am the administrator.

    Hope that someone can help.

    :)

Windows 8, full or upgrade required?

I'm about to build a new system, and I need it to be windows 8 Pro (I have to gain mastery of it for my line of work...) and I'm wondering if the full OEM version is necessary for my new build or if it's possible to install the upgrade version somehow via a clean install without having issues down the road.

While I'm not suggesting pirating a copy of windows, I would like to save some money and buy a cheaper legit version of the OS if possible...that being said I don't have an old windows 7 to "upgrade" (well I do, I have a windows 7 enterprise, but I'm not giving that up as I need it elsewhere...)

Any tips on this appreciated. Am I stuck paying the $100 more for the full version in this scenario?

    windows 10 worth the upgrade?

People who don't need Edge, Store, and all those bloated W10 apps can get Windows 10 Enterprise ltsb. Ltsb is a "clean" Windows 10 edition plus you have all Enterprise functionality. Because it's stripped from all that bloatware it installs and boots faster than Pro version. Unfortunately ltsb is more expensive
