    Microsoft Store Scam

So, I have bought a game from the Microsoft Store, but figured it had several issues on my PC. So far so good, this can happen sometimes.

After two days (Since it was weekend) I asked for a refund by calling this official Microsoft Store number for the country I am in 0800 8088 014.

No issues to this point. After talking to two different people on there, the third one (A english person instead of my local language) finally understood the exact issue, and granted me my refund.

On my email connected to the Microsoft Store Account, the refund was supposedly permitted and completed.

Now this is where the issue starts.

After two weeks of waiting for my refunded money to my connected Paypal Account, no money refunded at all.

So obviously I called Micorosft Support once again.

And here it becomes very suspicious and ridiculous. I wonder if you guys heard about the scammers (NO OFFENSE PLEASE) from third or second world countries mainly, indians for example? But this is exactly the type of people Microsoft seems to hire here. I had people with a very heavy accent and people extremly hard to understand on the phone.

I asked for supervisors, but every time, REALLY EVERY TIME the supervisor wasn't available, will call me back or send me an email.

    What happened? Nothing at all.

Now some guy who supposedly had a extreme indian accent was the cherry on top. I asked him for his supervisor, he warned me that it will be in english.

I said it's no problem, my english isn't perfect but it is sufficient enough to handle a normal conversation.

So far so good. Guess what happened?!

Embarrassment. I swear. The same indian guy, talked to me again in ENGLISH and tried to make me believe he is the supervisor. I told him ''Dude do you think you are funny or something'' and then I told him how much of a lowly human being he is for trying to do something as shameless as that.

Anyways back to the actual issue aside from the maybe 10 to 20 different ''professional'' employees working under MICROSOFT (HAHA).

So sometimes I seemed to have luck with one or two of the employees. They were very kind and truly listened to the issue and finally one of the chicks escalated my case. I knew the term already so I didn't ask what's going to happen next obviously.

But here I am too naive again. MICROSOFT taught me total new meanings and ways how horrible, shameless and trash humanity can be. (Pointing at supposedly official Microsoft Employees but not giving any names).

While now my case was escalated, I waited for a week or two again to call them back. They always told me similar things from this point on.

That the case is escalated and they cannot do anything about it. The supervisor is busy again or not in the office or due to the timezone differences, not working at the moment...Bla bla bla.

You cannot directly get connected with the escalation team and they cannot just call them and ask how this case is processing.

Now I kept calling almost every day, because I am not a person who can be fooled. Yes sure they messed with me obviously, but you are simply powerless over the phone.

Since those people have no moral, no shame and no feelings towards customers, it is also pointless to tell them that they do a horrible job for scamming people.

I also kind of figured, how microsoft and other bigger companies have this much money. From scamming customers off of their money.

Anyways after a while, I finally had somebody else on the phone, who suddenly was able to ask the escalation team about my case and had a answer from the escalation team, saying that the money had been refunded to MY OHTER PAYPAL ACCOUNT already. FIRST OF ALL: I do not have any other paypal account, nor do I have nor ever did I have another payment method attached to any Microsoft Service ever. Second of all, when I asked which other paypal account, they couldn't suddenly tell me anything again.

Then after not getting anywhere, I called again and again. And finally somebody else who was able to speak a little more told me, that the escalation team said, it must be an Paypal issue.

Obviously I called Paypal and they confirmed that there is no issues and no payment or anything waiting for approval. Since Paypal is a company which at least cares for their customers, they also hire more professional people.

Anyways after that we are almost done.

The MICROSOFT Support scammer party continues. I kept calling and now about three months have passed, they slowly kept telling me the same story no matter what kind of person picks up the call.

Until this time some person called Jacob (Probably a fake name again I got a voice mail still saved from him on my phone and every other evidence possible to take legal measurements).

This Jacob guy, oh lord. One of the guys for the dirty job to clean up after every mess. Like the type of guy who wants to sound tough but gets hit by his little wife at home every day for messing up.

This guy called me, bluntly and without being able to say much, he was like ''Your money has been refunded don't you get it? Calling us will not result in getting another refund!'' I tried to again tell him the situation. He tried to keep stopping me from starting to do so. Raising his voice more and saying I could go to court, but it will be expensive and not worth it since I had to pay more than what I paid for the game. And that they (MICROSOFT) has evidence of paying me back.

So literally this was the final conversation I had with the Microsoft Store Support. I am not personally sure, why a company with their dark hole full of money is able to get through with this unprofessional nonsense. Not only do they hire mostly unschooled, uneducated people, they also hire them in countries, which suffer enough financially already so they can even underpay them, which results in even less quality.

Anyways. This is a bunch of text, and some things are probably hard to understand with my broken english. I apologize about that. I just wanted to share you my experience with the Microsoft Store Support, when it comes to money.

They will not think twice, but rip you off as much as possible, just so they get extra payment or whatever from Microsoft. It's probably a thing in their contract to do so.

Yes I am accusing Microsoft of fraud here and I hope you guys are careful and think twice when purchasing anything from the Microsoft Store.

My next step will be, that I wrote a letter...I don't know the term for it. Reminder? Warning? (Which my lawyer recommended me to do first before taking other measurements. It says that I will give Microsoft another month and if they do not react appropriately, I will consult my lawyer again and we will get this case to court.

It's not about the money anymore. I just hope that microsoft will lose more money from this case, than they scammed off of me. After that I am a happy human being and all these lousy unprofessional support employees who messed with me, will get nothing in the end from their scam.

And the money I will get back, will probably be enough to add to the lawyer.

My case will fall under european law, therefore it is quite assured that the case is won. So make sure, that if you guys are in a similar situation, you check your corresponding law system.

Not sure how american law works here, but it would not affect my case.

    :)
