  1. Help! Numbers and comma, other lower level characters work off and on

Now the comma is working but sporadically the numeric keypad, numbers, comma, period and lower level characters affected by the "shift" key do not work. My computer says it is up to date. How do I find and install drivers - it is a Windows 10 glitch? I thought it was a virus or malware initially but have run repeated scans for days to try to get out the bugs. I have tried two keyboards - regular keyboard on laptop is broken so have to use external. I thought it was the keyboard but apparently that is not it because the problem happens off and on with both of them. Thank you! Some things on here may be out of date but updates say it is fine - virus scanner software notified me of about ten drivers to update - guess I will start with looking those up.

    :)

    Commas in number

    Thanks for the reply.

It's mainly for an application form. I need to quote my candidate number which is 6 numbers long. As soon as I move from that box, it inserts a comma separating the first and last 3 numbers.

How to type in Alphanumeric characters in fields for capturing phone numbers

You get slightly more options when you edit the phone number for an existing (or new) contact (you get space, '-' and '.'.

If you long press on the '.', you'll get a pop up menu with other supported characters:-

    • comma
    • open parenthesis
    • close parenthesis
    • X
I seem to recall that comma and X are pauses, but you'll need to research those.

See this link for discussion on these codes:-

    Hope that helps.

Help! Numbers and comma, other lower level characters work off and on

    Commas in number

    Hi,

Sorry if this isn't the right place to post this.

I've only recently upgraded to Windows 10 in the last couple of days. I've tried to fill out a form on a webpage using Chrome and Explorer Edge and every time I type a number, it changes and inserts a comma. I've tried to change the separation in the control panel but it still doesn't stop.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.
