    Avast Residual Files


    How do I remove Avast residual files from my computer? During one of my CCleaner updates, I missed the decline of downloading Avast anti-virus and now I can't get rid of the apparent residual files. I successfully uninstalled the program but I can't get rid of the lingering Avast files, mostly in Windows folder SxS. I even downloaded avastclear.exe and ran it but I still have the files remaining. Is there anything else I can do?

    If you uninstall any application or software, it may leave some residue. To help you out with your concern, we suggest that you completely uninstall Avast by downloading or using the tool removal.

    This is a new harddrive, last one went kaput. Never had Avast and 2 days ago also began to receive this same annoying pop up.

    I can't find anything related to Avast in my program files/uninstall list. Any more suggestions? Thank you.
