Laptop max resolution less than projectors

My camera club has just bought a new Projector with a 1920x1200 max resolution, but the clubs Windows laptop screen is only 1920x1080 as is the max graphics card resolution. How can we get the laptop to project at the Projectors max resolution of 1910x1200, or can’t we?

Have seen external usb graphics cards on eBay that go up to far higher resolutions, but don’t know anything about them .. could one of those be the answer?

    Any help greatly appreciated.

Projector resolution does not match laptop resolution

I have a Vivitek D832MX projector that I have been using fine with a windows 8 laptop. I just purchased a windows 10 laptop, and the projector resolution is not as high as the laptop resolution. I have tried both "Extend" and "Duplicate" in the monitor
settings but it doesn't want to go higher than a very low resolution on the projector. The laptop resolution is crystal clear. Apparently the projector is not compatible with Windows 10. Any ideas?

  3. Reverting Screen Resolution after disconnecting projector

I have an ACER ASPIRE 5532 laptop running Windows 10. I recently connected a projector to it, didn't have any trouble connecting. However, I cannot return to my original screen resolution. The screen appears to be stretched a bit. Only two options for
resolution 800x600 or 1024x768, both are larger than desired and not what I had prior to connecting the projector. I have tried the SETTINGS/DISPLAY/RESOLUTION and Fn/F5 key, no help. Any suggestions?

Projector resolution does not match laptop resolution

Thanks for your response. The new laptop is a Lenovo ideapad 110 running windows 10. The projector is no longer in production, so no drivers are available. Will try what you suggest. Hoping for good results.
