Windows 10: Making IE 11 the default browser

Discus and support Making IE 11 the default browser in Browsers and Email to solve the problem; Our company still use IE 11 for many things and I was looking for a way to make it the default browser, anybody got some good tips on how to do this?...     Make IE default browser on Windows 10

    I managed to find
    2 methods     on how to make Internet Explorer 11 the default Windows browser.

    • Сlick on the icon in the upper-right corner in the IE.
    • Select Internet options.
    • Go to Programs.
    • Click on "Make Internet Explorer your default web browser".
    I guess it helps. Otherwise, you can visit the article page to check out the second method.

    Setting Internet Explorer 11 as default browser

    There are no error messages, only a missing IE icon. I have been round this and other routes to making IE a the default browser and in every case it just does not do it or the IE icon does not appear on the list of available programs.

    IE 11 does not appear in my list of installed programs but many of my installed program icons appear on the list of potential default browsers (some of which are not browsers!).

    Frustrating but it has made me find my way around the community website.

    Issues with making chrome as default browser on Windows 10.

    I realize the inconvenience you are experiencing with Windows 10. I will certainly help you.



    This issue might occur if there is change in system settings or default browser program is change correctly.



    I suggest you to follow the steps to change the default browser as Chrome browser and check if it helps.

    1. Type "Control Panel" without the quotes in search box and click on it.

    2. Click on Programs.

    3. Then click on Default Programs and click on
    Set Default Programs    .

    4. Click on chrome browser from the list.

    5. Click on Set this program as default.
