Windows 10: Applications not opening at same location and in same size after reopening

Each time when I open the different programs that I have installed in my system, then upon opening the programs, windows 10 doesn't remember the size of the window of those programs also that they were placed at what position on the screen last time, and this causes me distractions when working. So, how can I make such a setting in windows 10 that, the programs open with the same size as they were set the last time and also open at the same position on the screen? (And this should also include the different dialog boxes and other similar things of different programs installed and also of windows itself)

I have tried resizing the windows of some programs, but some programs do not allow resizing their windows. And also, the programs do not open at the same location on the desktop, even after I have moved them from one position to another on the desktop, then having closed them, and then re-opened them.

And how can I ensure that the dialog boxes of windows and other similar things also open at the same place on the desktop?

App/program windows open in random sizes and locations

I prefer to have my app/program windows open "maximized" but recently they've been opening at less-than-maximized sizes (and sometime locations), if I'd used them at those smaller sizes sometime in the past. This happens mostly with MS Office applications,
especially Word and Excel, but Outlook seems to be unaffected.

I had a similar problem years ago and the solution then seemed to have something to do with clearing out a window-size cache, but I can't remember the details.

I'm running Windows 10 Pro, v. 1607, and the Office 2010 Pro suite.

Suggestions?

 

Why doesn't Win10 open applications in a window where it was last open on the screen.

How do you get Win10 to open an application in a window on the monitor exactly (size, shape) as it was last open.

For Example Word last closed when located in center screen at 8" x 12" but when reopened goes to left corner and different size.

Also how about setting a desktop to open several applications with one click
where they were last closed ?

1. Open MS Word and MS Excel right after booting up your computer.

2. Maximize both windows.

3. On your keyboard, press and hold the Ctrl button and click on the
X button on each of the windows to close them.



After performing the steps below, all other applications that you open should be in maximized size.
