    Tell how good Windows Security

Windows 7 was a nightmare Windows 10 was a God send . On Windows 7 I made three trips to the repair shop at £30 a go. One Laptop got thrown in the Wheelie Bin. My Grandson just got an Ipad but I loved Windows and bought his laptop off him. Ive watched Windows 10 Security gradually improve. At the same time browsing the Security Info either Google or You Tube Windows Security got ripped to pieces. I suspected some so called Experts were just promoting Third Party with thier own ulterior motives. Recent Test AV Tests show a dramatic improvement in Windows Security. However Microsoft seem to keep a low profile on it For Gods sake Redmond shout it across the World . Satya Nadella and yourselves at Redmond are doing it you have got it right be proud of it tell the public.

    :)

That made me so facepalm. Some people have absolutely no clue. I hope they don't take you for granted with all this you're doing for them.

SonicWall is a good security product, so Mindweaver's suggestion sounds like a good one and should make for a rather bigger baby step. Let's hope they take it.

Windows 8 Secure Boot Feature: Not So Secure?

    • Linux
    • Linux
    • Linux
    • Linux
    • Oh and OSX
Here is a statement from a Kernal Developer at Red Hat:

I'm not sure this exploits the legacy BIOS but rather it exploits the legacy boot method on MBR drives, injecting a signed key before the OS boots, which you are correct in that it has nothing to do with Windows 8. And the simplest fix would just be to require boot drives use GPT when Secure Boot is enabled in UEFI.
