Windows 10: camera not detected

I need help. My laptop is a SONY VAIO Touchscreen series with Windows 10. I have been using this laptop for years now. Everything was working well up until last Friday. Last Friday , my laptop cannot detect my built in camera. It seems that I have the same error message as everyone. I tried all the recommended options ... updating the driver, disabling and enabling, uninstalling, stopping my anti virus, and many more. Nothing helped me. Please help me find a solution to fix this problem. Thank you

This issue might have occurred because of outdated/ corrupted drivers after upgrading to Windows 10.

I suggest you to try the below troubleshooting steps and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to
run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter as it checks for common problems and makes sure that any new device or hardware connected to your PC is installed correctly.

• Press Windows key from the keyboard, type
  Troubleshooting and select it.
• Click on View all option on the upper left corner of
  Troubleshooting window.
• Select the Hardware and Device options from the list.
  
• Click Next to run the troubleshooter.

Step 2: Check for the driver status in Device Manager.

Right click on the Start menu, click on Device Manager, and check if there are any exclamatory mark on any of the drivers. If so, right click on the drive, click on
Properties and let us know the Device status.

Step 3: I suggest you to install all the pending updates after upgrade to Windows 10

• Connect to the internet.
• Press Windows key and type
  updates.
• Click on Check for updates.
• Under Windows Updates, click on
  Check for updates.
• Try to install the updates being shown.

• Type Device Manager on Start/Cortana.
• Click on Imaging devices.
• Right click Integrated Camera or the name of your camera.
• Select Update Software or Properties >
  Driver Update Driver.
