Windows 10: Excel 2013

My Excel program will not open - it says "it has run into an error that is preventing it from working correctly and Excel will need to be closed as a result. Would you like to repair it now?" When I click "repair now" the program just closes. Please can you help

To resolve this issue we need some information. Let us know the following.

• 
  Which Office application do you face this issue with?
  
• 
  Do you have the issue with all Office application or one or two?
  

Try opening one of your Office 2013 applications in the Safe Mode to check if an Add-In in the Office applications causes the issue.

Open Excel 2013 in the Safe Mode and check if you still have the mouse pointer flashing issue.

Follow the steps as suggested in the following Microsoft Article to open Excel 2013 applications in the Safe Mode:

Note: The above article lists steps for all Microsoft Office 2013 application/s, however, follow the steps to open the applications/programs in the Safe Mode for which you are experiencing the issue – in your case Excel 2013.
You may also follow the same steps to open other Office 2013 applications in Safe Mode.

Once Excel have been opened in the Safe Mode, check if the mouse pointer still flashes or stops flashing.

Not able to edit Excel 2010 and 2013 (xlsx) file

Hi,

I have a Excel file which is xlsx file and I use 2013 in office and 2010 at home and if I try to use the same file it will not let me edit on my phone. What have these buggers designed. I should have bought Android as it is much easier to get some other
office suite which will help in making changes. My excel file just contains numbers and there are no charts no macro and still the issue. Biggest reason I bought Lumia was for Office and UI, but it seems they will not update or make any changes. Looked for
the solution but there is none just an irritating message " can't edit workbook". First you say you need 2010 n now I have both 2013 and 2010 what else.

please suggest

 

Windows 10 with Excel and Word 2013

I have new desktop with dealer installed Windows 10 and Office 2013. After opening Word or Excel the next keystroke gets error message "Microsoft Word has stopped working --etc.," Powerpoint works. I have reinstalled Office 2013 with no fix.
