AI suite kills all my USB connections on Windows 10 which results in a full re-installation...

I have a Maximus VIII motherboard. When using windows 7 it all worked just fine from what i ever used of the program. Mainly the fan utility. I was always using installation on the CD that came with the motherboard. Since Windows 10, the CD barely shows much of the installation loading picture before it just closes. I go on to the Asus website. Get the latest version of AI suite for my motherboard. After installation is complete and the PC restarts as it requests. I lose every USB connection every time the program/desktop starts. Safe mode does nothing to fix any of my USB connections. Not even power is being sent through to charge a phone or anything similar while windows is running. This has happened on 3 occasions and the only thing i can do is get a windows 10 installation on a USB from another computer if i dont already have one ready to use. I also have to take my SSD out and put it in another PC to backup the files i need. I Install my SSD back in my PC and from the BIOS i boot the USB. The USB ports work fine in the BIOS and when the PC is turned off. I then commence the installation of everything like its a fresh PC. I am really worried to try install it again. I now have an external drive with disc image backups made often. Each time i installed the program i installed all the recommended programs. Including ones that have power management options for USB but was never able to use anything since i lost all controls after the installation and restart. Is there a way i can avoid going through many days of PC software repairs to get the fan control option from the software and avoid whatever is is that kills my USB connections. It is also extra frustrating because apart form the USB connections not working at all. I have no control with a mouse or keyboard on my desktop that looks just fine. I ended up turning down my fans with splitter cables and speed reduction cables that came with the fans. It's still fairly loud, ramps up and down all the time. And not the ideal setup at all. I would like to try again to get the fan utility part of the program working. Possibly de-select all the other recommended programs and hope the USB part of the software is the cause of it all and de-selecting it is enough to not have such failure. Any assistance with this very big issue is greatly appreciated.
    Thank you kindly

    :)

  2. Windows 10 USB boot

Hi there, am not a windows 10 expert. I have a pc in the bedroom on windows 10, I messed up the bootloader trying to fix the xp on that system.

System wont boot, trying to repair via win 10 usb installer.

Downloaded the media creation tool to install windows 10 installer on usb stick. Not compatible with a host of usb sticks I have. Tried the usb sticks that others use, but I think they use rufus; as the media creation tool by win 10 does not detect the usb stick.

So quick question, the win10 machine i am trying to repair the bootloader is a win7 upgraded to win10.
If i were to use the usb win10 installer to "repair installation" does the version of the iso downloaded via the media creation tool matter?

    There is three options:
    Windows 10
    Windows 10 Home
    Windows 10 N

Also is there a step by step instead of using rufus as I want to try an alternative method of creating a usb win 10 installer. Preferably with more compatibility.

    System is a asus sabertooth 990 (r2?) with AMD phenom X 6.

Also is there any other software I can load onto the usb that can repair the bootloader easily?
That would be the ideal alternative. Thanks

W10 Insider Clean Install and AI Suite

Wanted to share some info on AI suite. After I installed the insider preview, AI Suite 3 and MSI Afterburner stopped working. Rolled back to Build 16251 rs_prerelease 17021-1512 and MSI AB works again, but AI suite 3 would not even install. Then I found this
