Windows 10: Windows 10 Activation Troubles - REALLY NEED HELP

So I built my own PC, and bought what I am assuming is a digital license directly from the Microsoft Store. I installed windows 10 directly from the USB device to my new system. I later activated by purchasing a Windows 10 Home license from the Microsoft Store (a product which conveniently no longer exists on their store for some reason). This should be a retail version with transferable right, correct? Because the problem is, despite activating windows and tying the activation to my Microsoft account, I was unable to transfer the license after changing my motherboard.


Contacting Microsoft support proved to be fruitless, as whenever I gave my IID (installation ID), it comes up as invalid (both for me personally as well as on their end, when using the service to enter the IID). They told me to contact the Microsoft store, but gave me a number to a survey instead. Furthermore, after being told twice that I should call back and they would be able to help me, BOTH times they told me to call back in two hours, both times saying whatever was closed is closed, etc..


Microsoft order history also presented no luck, as there is no option to "install" or view a product key, despite Microsoft's own website claiming it should be there.


So now I need to know, what's going wrong with the process? Is there any way I can transfer my license/key without having to purchase again? At this point, I'm tired of dealing with this and will likely seek alternative methods, after having essentially wasted $120 on this license which will not transfer despite all available information claiming it should be.

How long did you wait for activation?
When I re-installed with a fresh install... it took a few hours to sync and activate.
However, it did, finally, activate.

I won't buy a key, stupid.

I'll revert back to windows 7 then.

When I still was on windows 7, about a year ago I added 4GB extra ram which is a total of 8GB now,
is that causing the problem?

or you could hack it with a crack but please note this is always risky and you don't know what's in the hack
