Windows 10: Unknown message stuck in Outlook 2016 outbox

The last two days I've noticed when I start Outlook (I have Office 365) it tries to send a message but fails and error code 0x800CCC0F is generated (see screen shots). If I send an e-mail, the e-mail is sent but whatever is stuck also tries to send. Not sure how to correct this. I've run scans with Malwarebytes and Windows Defender and nothing shows up.

Okay but I would suggest you reference their site for exact settings. Something changed for it to stop working for you.

You don't have an old Outlook still installed do you, like 2010 or 2013?

After you send the first one successfully can you send another an immediately switch to the send receive window to see progress and see error (I hope error message)

6233 Message stuck in outbox

Firmware v03.70

I can send/receive messages ok, but there is a message stuck in my outbox.

If I try to open the Outbox it says "Operation failed. Try again"

If I try to delete messages from the Outbox it says "Error Occurred - deletion not complete".

I have tried removing sim card and battery.

Any suggestions as to how to clear this please?
