  1. Bypassing "Not Secure Connection" Error on Browsers

I have set up a test website with a self signed certificate on a VPS server. The site should be accessed by https://serverIPaddress/admin

Since the website has a self signed SSL certificate, Firefox and IE etc are blocking my access to the site and throwing the following error:

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.

It used to be possible to bypass the warning and access the site anyway. This option has been removed in current versions of browsers.

My question: How can I access my site? I really don't want to have to register a domain and SSL just to access a test website for a short period of time.

    :)

    Connection errors with multiple browsers

A couple of day ago I began getting connection errors when trying to connect to certain sites that I visit daily. This did not affect all sites, but just a few.
Below are the errors that I would get using 3 different browsers.

Firefox error: An error occurred during a connection to xxxx.com. Peers certificate has an invalid signature. Error code: SEC_ERROR_BAD_SIGNATURE.

Google Chrome error: This site can't provide a secure connection. xxxx.com sent an invalid response.

Microsoft Edge error: Can't connect securely to this page. This might be because the site uses outdated or unsafe TLS Security settings.

Since this was occurring with 3 different browsers, I assumed that this was more of a global problem.

After some online research, I ran across some info that said to delete the “cert8” file in Firefox to fix this problem with this browser. I did and sure enough this issue has been resolved with Firefox.
My question is now how to apply the similar fix to both Edge and Chrome where the problem still continues.
Also, why did this hit all 3 browsers at once? And is there a master setting that can fix them all at once?
There had not been any software updates or installs/uninstalls at the time this happened, so I'm a bit confused as to what suddenly brought this on all at once.
Thanks for any suggestions on how to fix this issue and why it even happened at all.

  3. This site is not secure.... How to bypass?

I visit a lot of company websites that require logging in with a common access card. These websites do not provide any type of certificate information for security reasons so the browser always thinks the website is not secure. IE10 used to allow me to
bypass the message by clicking "continue to this website anyway" but that's not an option in IE11. How do I bypass this error? The websites are secure. I get this same error on all the company websites, all 20+ of them. I am able to access them on a different
    computer which runs IE11 though.

    Microsoft Edge TLS Security

After trying everything (not a lot of steps) listed in the Microsoft Edge support site, I did a wider search and found this very simple youtube video that fixed it immediately:

For those who prefer not to click links the steps are simple:

    1. Click in the Cortana search bar next to the Win 10 Start button

    2. Type internet options

    3. Select internet options (control panel) from the list

    4. Click on the advanced tab

    5. Scroll down to the security section

    6. Make sure the following are all clicked:
    Use SSL 3.0
    Use TLS 1.0
    Use TLS 1.1
    Use TLS 1.2

    7. Click apply

    8. Refresh the page that was giving the error and it should now connect.

Hope this helps, it was a 30 second fix after hours of pounding my head against the error with the Support site suggestions.
