Windows 10: One Drive prevents me from accessing Word documents

Discus and support One Drive prevents me from accessing Word documents in Windows 10 Network and Sharing to solve the problem; Recently, even though I'm logged into One Drive, when I open Word documents saved on One Drive I get a message telling me to "sign in" and saying...     One Drive prevents me from accessing Word documents


    Recently, even though I'm logged into One Drive, when I open Word documents saved on One Drive I get a message telling me to "sign in" and saying something about being unable to sync. I've never had this problem before. If I'm signed in, I should be able to access existing documents and edit them but this error message, which pops up at the top of the Word document, prevents me from working on the documents.

    I cannot find any solutions after sorting through the endless topics and posts on help.

    Please help.

    Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community.

    I would appreciate if you could answer few questions to narrow down to the issue.

    1. Was it an upgrade or update?


    2. When you say Word, is it Microsoft word or word pad?


    3. Which version of Microsoft Word are you using?

    4. Which was the previous Operating system installed on the computer?

    If you had performed an upgrade, I suggest you to check Windows .Old folder for the missing documents.

    Windows. Old folder will be located in This PC > access the drive where Operating System has been installed, there you would be able to locate Windows. Old folder.

    Wrong "remove from list" document on word mobile.

    Hi,

    To further assist you with your concern about re-enabling files that were removed from the Recent Documents List in Word, we suggest to follow this steps:

    • Click the FILE tab in the program.
    • Click Options from the list on the left side of the screen.
    • On the Word Options dialog box, click Advanced in the list of options on the left.
    • On the Advanced screen, scroll down to the Display section. Select the value in the Show this number of Recent Documents edit box. You can choose to change the value to 0 to disable the list.
    • When you open Word, or select the Open option in the program, there are no documents in your Recent Documents list.
    • To re-enable the list, go back into the Word Options dialog box and enter the desired value (from 0 to 50, inclusive) in the Show this number of Recent Documents edit box on the Advanced screen. If any documents were previously displayed in the Recent Documents
      list, they are added to the list again.
