  1. Windows Update 1803 very slow

    Hi there,

    Fresh install of Windows 10.0.10240, first time connecting to windows update and it is indicating that it's using 100% of the disk yet that's clearly not the case. It's been running an absurdly long time (2hrs+) and is stuck at 60% (just ticked to 61% after 30 minutes at 60). Performance Monitor shows 1-2 MB/s Disk activity and 100% Usage.

    Whilst this is running, if I copy a large file locally Performance Monitor shows the spike up to about 600 MB/s, which is what you'd expect for a RAID0 SSD system. Windows Update just seems to be churning.

    My setup:

    - Ryzen 5 2600 on ASRock B450 Pro4

    - 16gb (2x8gb) Corsair

    - 2x 500gb Samsung 860 EVO SSD's in a hw AMD-RAID RAID0

    - Nvidia GTX1050

    I've read a few other posts on here, but nothing seems to apply to this FRESH INSTALL of Windows 10.

    :)

    Win10: windows update stuck at never ending loop ?

    When in win10:
    • Update&security -> Windows update -> Finding update... .... .... ....
    Planning to download the latest Win10.ISO (vers.1803) and manually update:
    - Then wait that my ordered new SSD arrives and clone the old HDD to it.
