    Direct X 9_3 Bug on Facebook Messenger App


    Hi, I've had Messenger installed on my computer for a while, recently it started giving me an error message telling me that I do not have Direct X 9_3 installed and therefore cannot access the app. I still get notifications from the app, however. This appears to a serious bug since no major changes have been made to my PC recently.

    I noticed that it existed for some people in the past, and it was apparently solved for them by updating Direct X. I did so. The latest version is already installed (11).


    I have no flipping idea how to fix this. Any help appreciated.

    Direct3D affecting Games & Facebook apps (Messenger, Instagram, Facebook)

    Every time I open a facebook app (Messenger, Instagram, Facebook) they all display the same notice - "We're sorry, to use this application you need to have Direct3D with feature level 9_3 or greater." - However, I have directx9 and do have a feature level
    greater than 9_3

    - Recently, I found that certain games have also begun to stop working.

    - List of games that have stopped working - Tomb Raider(2013), Rocket League, Golf with Friends, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands, Rocket League, Terraria, Stick Fight
