Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Thanks for the suggestions and for the time to respond You have no right to force update :) Best regards.

And thanks for the tip of that program, I'll have it on my list.

You have no right to force update

Why the apparently 'forced install' of Windows Update Assistant??????

You can also try to run the System File Checker tool which may help to repair broken components that may the one causing the issue. Follow these steps:

    • Type Command Prompt in the Search box from Start.
    • Right-click on it, then select Run as administrator.
    • Enter DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth (note the spaces before each "/").
    • Enter sfc /scannow (note the space between "sfc" and "/").
    • Once done, try to perform the steps that were suggested DaveM121 and check the result.

We'll wait for your update after trying the steps.
