    Unable to change permissions.

I'd like to preface this by ensuring i have checked all of the relevant links on the forums regarding this. Recently, i have not been able to change the read only attribute on folders on my PC even though i am logged in as an admin. I have tried to grant my individual user ownership of the entire drive and have full read/write access but there is no change regardless. Unchecking the read only box just rechecks it. I disabled all my antivirus software as well as windows defender.

    :)

Unable to save permission changes on ShellFolder

Hello ozium, and welcome to Ten Forums. Unable to change permissions. :)

That's correct. You will need to take ownership of the "ShellFolder" key as noted in step 4 first before you will be able to change its permissions.
