Windows 10 sound volume and settings

I was wondering is there a fix where I can do to fix my volume from gradually lowering itself? I have turned of all setting for the control panel sound setting from communications to sound adapter property control device setting. I tried reinstalling the driver and the problem still exists. It only happens in desktop speakers mode.

    :)

    Good surround sound headset

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue Windows 10 sound volume and settings :p

No sound and unable to control volume on Windows 10.

    Hi Minas,

The above issue might occur due to the following reasons:

    • Corrupted/missing system files & folders.

    • Sound drivers non-updated or incompatible.

    • Sound settings disabled on the PC.

Before we assist further, I would like to ask you a few questions:

    • Did you check if sound settings are disabled on the PC?

    • Did you try updating the sound drivers?

Due to some of the third party applications installed sound settings will be disabled on the PC. Check if the settings are set appropriately by following the steps below:

    • Right click on the volume icon, located at the bottom right corner of the PC and select
Playback devices from the context menu.

    • Click on the device located in the window and click on
      Properties.

    • Click on Levels tab from the window and check if the volume icon is disabled.

    • If yes, click on the icon to enable the settings and check if the changes are effective.

If the issue persists, update the audio drivers by following the steps from the link below and check if the issue is resolved.

    • Press Windows logo + X keys on the keyboard and select
Device manager from the context menu.

    • Expand Sound, video and game controller option and check if the speaker drivers are installed.

    • If yes, right click on the driver and select
      Update this software
      from the context menu.

    • Follow the on-screen instructions and wait till the drivers are updated.

    • After the update is complete, close the window and check if the changes are effective.

    • If the issue persists, download and install the latest and most compatible sound drivers from the manufacturer’s website and check if the changes are effective.
