Another bug fixing build out as Windows 10 version 1903 inches closer to launch

Another new preview build is now rolling out to Windows Insiders in the Fast Ring as Microsoft prepares to finalize the RTM candidate of Windows 10 version 1903. Windows 10 build 18362 comes with minor bug fixes only and there are no new features as the RTM version is just around the corner.

Microsoft’s next big Windows 10 release is codenamed 19H1 and it could be unveiled as Windows 10 April 2018 Update. However, the software giant hasn’t officially announced the name of the next feature update.

Today, Microsoft is rolling out Windows 10 Build 18362 to Insiders in the Fast Ring with two bug fixes. In the changelog, Microsoft writes that an issue where Connect app may crash on launch has been addressed.

Another bug where Microsoft Store apps may not update automatically has been addressed. While the update has fixed two issues, it still has some known issues.

Microsoft says that when Insiders launch games that use anti-cheat software, the system may trigger a bugcheck (GSOD/Green Screen of Death).

Microsoft is aware of one more bug which causes Realtek SD card readers to not function properly.

Windows 10 April 2019 Update, which is scheduled to go live April 2019 Update, will introduce tons of improvements including the light theme. You can learn more about the major features and improvements of April 2019 Update here.

Microsoft hasn’t finalized the RTM candidate yet but it is expected to happen before April 2019.

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
