Windows 10: Mail app error "We weren't able to send this message, so we've put it in your Drafts...

Original title: Outlook app on surface pro 4


I bought a new Dell G3 a week ago and set up a Microsoft outlook account to register it.


When I send emails from the Mail app (same problem in outlook) they are not sent and I get the following email :


"We weren't able to send this message, so we've put it in your Drafts folder. Before you try sending it again, you can check to see if the address is correct and that no attachments are too large.."



I am not having any problems receiving emails.

If I use Outlook.com I can send emails but I notice that none of the problem emails appear in Drafts or the Inbox messages (above).

Hello,

I cannot send messages from my mail app with my gmail accounts. I always get following error message: Send error:

We weren't able to send this message, so we've put it in your Drafts folder. Before you try sending it again, you can check to see if the address is correct and that no attachments are too large.

However, I am able to send through an old Hotmail account, so what gives ?

Did you change anything recently? And do you still correct settings for your account?

Check in Settings / Apps / Mail and calendar, if permissions are right, and if this wont help, reset Mail app.

 

MAIL question - How to save as draft?


Drafts are saved automatically. You can test this easily: Start a new message, type something, then simply close the Mail app. Re-open the app, check the Drafts folder, your interrupted message is there.
