    Hello All,

I am connected and I am posing this message from the laptop that is showing this message.

This has been going on for weeks now.

So I thought it was just a cosmetic problem so I ignored it. Now suddenly my apps such as MS Word started to complain that my license is not valid i need to be logged it. So I decided to reinstall windows. So I did a Windows Reset. I lost all my applications and Windows was re.installed.

However nothing changed. The icon didn't change even thoughI am fully connected to the Internet.

The icon at the bottom-right hand side say:

not connected -connections available: even though I am actually connected. b7c2ae70-d501-4625-9a1d-f4e031d90c09?upload=true.png

I can not work on Word as the license is not valid. I am asked to connect.

I am trying to download my apps from adobe it says the same thing.

However I can surf the net, send emails do every thing else. (and I have just re.installed windows)

Please can some one help. I will be obliged.

    Thanks in advance.

    Regards

    :)

  2. Losing network connection

Hello Dear, if you have a laptop or a PC with a wireless network adapter, you can see a list of available wireless networks and then connect to one of those networks. The wireless networks will only appear if your PC has a wireless network adapter installed, the adapter is turned on, and the wireless access point is in range.

    1. Click Start, click Control Panel, click Network and Internet Connections, and then click Network Connections.

    2. In the left pane, under Network Tasks, click View available wireless networks.
In case, If you don't see the network you want to connect to, click Refresh network list. If you see the network but the signal is weak, move the PC closer to the wireless router.

    3. Click the network you want to connect to, and then click Connect.

    4. If you're connecting to a secure network, type the security key, and then click OK.

I Hope you solve out your query soon.

  3. Dual Network Connection Question

Both sides of a connection need to support it, and your cheap router doesn't support it. Teaming mostly is for redundancy. And like W1z said, it won't help your internet connection, creating high performance connections only is handy to NAS devices and such.

Besides, I'm not even sure if those nvidia things support such configurations, I know Realtek and other cheap chips don't, Intel does.

    Internet connection speeds

I'm really curious about this, considering the amount of hoopla every major internet connection provider likes to claim about their services, and many times exaggerated just to help their own sales . . .

So, with that in mind, anyone willing to post up their download/upload connection speeds, and we can see just how much of a difference there is in the various internet connection types.

Hit up Speedtest by Ookla - The Global Broadband Speed Test, choose the location closest to your home and begin the test, afterwards, copy and paste your result here. Also, please list what type of connection you have (dial-up, cable, DSL, VDSL, FiOS, etc) - if you are running through an ethernet connection, please also list whether it's a direct connection, or your LAN/WiFi connection speeds.

    So, I guess I'lll start:

    Verizon standard DSL - D-Link 802.11g 54Mbps
