Windows 10: Windows update error (0x80080005) and Net start wuauserv

Hi so i am having this problem were i try to update windows but i get a code with (0x80080005). I searched to fix it and a lot of people have been going to command prompt and typing the same commands. When the command "net start wuauserv" comes next it says "The wuauserv service could not be started" , "A system error has occured." , " System erroe 2 has occured." , "The system cannot find the file specified". Anyone know how i can get the file and fix the error code?

Windows 10 update doesn't work

I have tried to find on google an answer to this error (0x80070006) on windows update. But nothing is working for me *Frown .
I have tried following
Windows 10 update troubleshooter all ok.
net stop wuauserv
net stop bits
Then I deleted the files in C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution
net start wuauserv
net start bits
I have scanned integrity of the operating system and no faults found.
Help.....

 

net start wuauserv error 1084 cannot be started in safe mode

I keep getting an error 0x80240fff when trying to update windows, I have done searches and even micosoft hasn't had any helpful solutions. I have done everything that was suggested but nothing works. I tried going into safe mode and under CMD ran net stop
wuauserv and net stop cryptsvc and when I try to restart them it says net start wuauserv error 1084 cannot be started in safe mode.

I need answers, don't make me sorry I installed windows 10, and don't make tell people not to download it either.

I suggest you to perform the methods provided below if not tried already.

Method 1: Run the Windows Update troubleshooter.

• Type “Troubleshooting” in search box and press Enter.
• Click on “View All” option on top left pane.
• Select “Windows Update” from the list and follow the prompts for troubleshooting.

Method 2: If the issue still persists, manually reset the Windows Updates Components and then reinitiate the Windows Update process.

Resetting Windows Update Components will fix corrupt Windows Update Components and help you to install the Windows Updates quickly.

Please follow the below steps to reset the Windows Updates Components:

1. Press Windows Key + X on the keyboard and then select “Command Prompt (Admin)” from the menu.

2. Stop the BITS, Cryptographic, MSI Installer and the Windows Update Services. To do this, type the following commands at a command prompt. Press the “ENTER” key after you type each command.

net stop wuauserv

net stop cryptSvc

net stop bits

net stop msiserver

3. Now rename the SoftwareDistribution and Catroot2 folder. You can do this by typing the following commands in the Command Prompt. Press the “ENTER” key after you type each command.

ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old

ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 Catroot2.old

4. Now, let’s restart the BITS, Cryptographic, MSI Installer and the Windows Update Services. Type the following commands in the Command Prompt for this. Press the ENTER key after you type each command.

net start wuauserv

net start cryptSvc

net start bits

net start msiserver

5. Type Exit in the Command Prompt to close it and then restart the computer.

6. After restarting the computer, now retry to install Windows Updates.
