  1. Sims 4 not runnung properly on Windows 10

To get straight to the point, ever since my software upgraded to Windows 10 the Sims 4 hasn't been working well. It opens and just lingers on the black screen but I discovered that if i go to the desktop then back to the Sims 4 tab it progresses, usually to the colorful logo bit but stays frozen there. If I repeat the process it goes to the diamond frozen in mid-spin where the title screen comes up. Then I repeatand the diamond is in place next to the Sims 4 logo. (This is very laborious and long.) If I keep doing this I can make it to the main menu but if I click on the play button I must go to the desktop and back again for it to carry out the command. This happens for every command- it won't work without me switching tabs and I'm very confused. Sure I can play the game but with interuptions anytime I want to click on anything, give any command or while it's loading. I know this is any peculiar but any help would be greatly appreciated. If you haven't noticed I have no idea what I'm doing...

    So far I have:

-Done the repair game thing in Origin (I have the digital version not the disk)

-Uninstalled and re- downloaded both Origin and The Sims 4 at least three times

-Checked for game updates (there weren't any)

The computer is a Dell Precision Tower 3620 if that has any relevance

The graphics card is AMD FirePro W4100 (FireGL V) Graphics adapter, chip type- AMD Radeon Graphics Processor (0x682C) and the DAC type is Internal DAC (400MHz)

It says HDR isn't supported if that may have anything to do with it?

Also I've noticed that the 'current display mode : 1920 x 1080 (32bit) (60 Hz) and when I was digging through the game properties it was 64 bit opposed to 32. I'll post this and try to see if anything works to do with bits. If it does I will feed back and hopefully anyone with the same problem will see this and find the solution!

If not, assume nothing worked with the bits as I do not hold much hope. Does anyone have any ideas or guidance? Thank you in advance!

    :)

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
