Windows 10: Incomplete Language Change- some panels stuck on Chinese

I recently purchased a Lenovo notebook in China, it came with Windows 10 Home (Chinese language)

Right after the first setup and downloading all the recent updates I purchased the "Pro" upgrade through Settings->Update&security->Activation, in Microsoft Store.

The edition is now Windows 10 Pro.

I downloaded and installed the English (US) language pack, set it as default, including checking boxes in "Administrative language settings"

The operation was successful and the display language is now English, EXCEPT FOR:
- Windows Update panel (Settings->Update&Security->Windows Update), which is stuck on Chinese, with some texts appearing in English
- Edge browser, which is still Chinese
- some minor popups, like the sound level






I already tried the solution from this post (2 years old):
Windows language not completely changed - Windows 10 Forums
(force Windows to run the setup (OOBE) again, using sysprep)

With the English language pack installed, the beginning of the setup process was in Chinese (the "please wait" message in the middle), then it all switched to English without any prompts, with Cortana speaking in English.
It didn't ask for a licence key, want through all setups and still, the result remains as in the img. I attached.

Any chance there's some other solution that came up in the past 2 years ?

Changed Cortana into US English but Still Replied in Chinese

I suggest you to Remove the Chineselanguage and add it again and check if it helps.

Follow the below steps:

Step 1: Remove the Chinese language.

  Press Windows + X on your keyboard.
  
• 
  Select Control panel.
  
• 
  Select language.
  
• 
  Click on the Option adjacent to the
  Chineselanguage.
  
• 
  Click on remove under input method.
  

Step 2: Add ChineseLanguage.

• 
  Press Windows + X on your keyboard.
  
• 
  Select Control panel.
  
• 
  Select language.
  
• 
  Click on Add language.
  
• 
  Add the Chinese language from the given list.

can't change the language from chinese to English for windows 10

Thank you for the response and keeping the status updated.

I would suggest you, try removing Chinese language pack and check if it helps.

Follow the below steps.

• 
  Type Language in the search area on the taskbar and select
  Language.
  
• 
  Select the Chinese language and click on
  Move down (if it is on the top).
  
• 
  Click on Remove Option.

I can not change display language

Thanks for reply.

I did exactly as you suggested. On the "Region& language" panel, I have Chinese and English languages, and I also have the same language list on the Control>Clock,Language, and Region >Language panel.

However, under Control>Clock, Language, and Region >Language panel>Advanced settings,
there is no Chinese language option shown under the drop-down list for Override for windows display language.
I think that is why I can not change the display language.
But, it has the Chinese language under the drop-down list for Override for default input method.
