Service state repository high cpu usage

Heya, so i installed the latest feature update for 1809 yesterday and today i noticed that when i right click desktop for example and go to "New" everything hangs for a while and the fans start spinning. I decided to open task manager and i i see that Windows explorer and Service State Repository are using a lot of CPU when i hit "New" on right click. The system does seem much slower overall as well. The machine is a surface book first generation. Everything was working great prior to the feature update.

    Kind regards,

    Alex

    :)

State Repository Service high CPU usage

    Hello,

I'm on a fresh install of Windows 10 Pro 64-bit and I'm having a major issue with State Repository Service.

Whenever I click on a link, whether it be on Edge or Discord, or something else, my PC becomes basically unusable. I've found that it's due to State Repository Service spiking in CPU usage.

Things I've done to "fix" this issue include,

    PowerShell command

Resetting and Restarting Edge in the Apps and Features section under Settings

Whenever I do those two things, it works fine, until I click on a couple links, then the issue comes back again.

High CPU usage in state repository service after clean install of Fall Creators Update while online via ethernet

Hi, Thanks a lot for your suggestions and I have faced the same problem of
    Fall Creators Update
and it was taking High CPU usage for State Repository Service. I tried some of the ways and I have got the solution.

No. 1: I haved repaired the Microsoft Edge

No. 2: I have Restart the State Repository Service from Computer Management.

It was working for me to solve the Start Repository service in Windows 10. Though I tried the best ways from

    here
to solve another PC. For example, disabling the service from
    MSConfig or by using PowerShell.

I will suggest fixing the issues when trying to Ethernet. Do first two ways and if do not get the issues fixed, then try the other two ways.

Hope you will get the solution, otherwise follow the link for details guideline or ask me here with your exact issues. Thanks again for your support. Service state repository high cpu usage :)
