  1. [Solved] London Control volume defaults to 0 and is not audible when changed

    Hi all!

I am having a problem with the volume of the Application 'London Control'. Until last week it worked fine, however when I opened the program 'London Control' yesterday, the volume always defaults to 0 as you can see below.

When I subsequently try to change the volume to match the other sounds, I can see the volume is not able to go from the application to my speakers:

I have already tried restarting my pc, reinstalling the sound drivers and reinstalling London Control. None of it helped though.

Thank you in advance for your help!

    Kind regards

    Jeremy

    :)

  2. volume control error

    Hi Akash,

The issue with volume control could have happened due to the corrupted or outdated driver. To resolve your issue, we suggest that you follow the 2 methods below:

Method 1: Run the Audio Troubleshooter on the system.

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with Sound. We would suggest you run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your Audio

    Refer these steps:

    • Press Windows key+X, select Control panel.
    • Change the view as an option on the top right to Large icons.
    • Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel
    • Run the playing Audio troubleshooter

Method 2. Uninstall and reinstall the latest drivers from the manufacturer website.

Follow the steps to update the audio drivers:

    • Press Windows key + X key and click Device Manager.
    • Expand the Sound, Video and game controllers.
    • Right-click on the Sound card and click on Uninstall.
    • Install the latest audio driver from the manufacturer website.

Let us know the result for us to assist you further.

  3. Volume control not working

Hi, I am having a problem with my volume control. I can open the volume control, and volume mixer, and change volumes, however, master volume does nothing. If it is at any volume level other than 0, it is like it is at 100 volume. Volume settings in the
volume mixer still affect volume, but not master volume.

I have tried several steps, such as uninstalling and reinstalling my audio driver, and just uninstalling my audio drive and then proceeding as usual.

  4. [Solved] London Control volume defaults to 0 and is not audible when changed

Cannot change the default apps by using control panel

Original Title: Cannot change default apps.

As said, I cannot change the default apps by using control panel > ... > Default Apps tab.

I cannot change any of the default programs. I use paint.net to edit/view photos and I cannot set it to the default program even though it is on the list, it does not change and i'm stuck with the default photo viewer. This happens with any other app actually,
I cannot change the default music player there, nor browser or anything.

I followed these steps as suggest by a microsoft engineer, post 2, and later on, no avail.

Can't change default apps in Windows 10

I refuse to use work arounds, I'd like a proper solution is possible, thank you.
