  1. Computer lock-down, possible scam

I was recently browsing some recipes in Chrome when a red website appeared and a voice said it had locked down my computer. It wouldn't closeby hitting the X at the top so I opened the Task Manager and closed my browser. That worked. It happened one other time within an hour (but as far as I can tell I was not on the same website as when it previously happened). I did not click on any of the links or buttons that came up. My history shows the offending site as

    Windows Official Supportrigorous39.azurewebsites.net

Is this a legitimate Windows Azure site or a scam? Do I need to be concerned and run a virus checker? I did go into my Control Panel under Programs and it doesn't appear that anything downloaded today.

    Thank you,

    As already mentioned:

All these kind of pop-ups/alerts are fake warnings - scams. Never ever call these numbers.

You might want to run a quick scan with your Anti-Virus program.
