  1. I can't find my USB flash drive in the boot order settings.

The only things listed there are:

    CD/DVD

    USB CD/DVD

Hard Disk : Windows Boot Manager (ADATA SX6000NP)

    USB Hard Disk

Network : UEFI : PXE IP4 KIller PCIe Network Controller

    Disabled

And because of that, the only options I can boot into is the network and the Hard Disk.

That is, if the boot mode is set to UEFI and UEFI w/ CSM.

But, if it's in Legacy mode, they become:

    CD/DVD

    USB CD/DVD

    Hard Disk: WDC WD10SPZX-17Z10T1

USB Hard Disk: SanDisk Extreme 0001

    Network: Killer E2500 Boot

    Disabled

Unfortunately, I need UEFI in order to continue reinstalling Windows. (Windows update bricked my system)

This is how it bricked it: https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=319506.0 (sorry if it's too long)

And also, if I were to continue with Legacy mode, it shows: "Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk is not of the GPT partition style."

    :)

Booting from USB on x38 Motherboard, NOT?

Typically the USB should be listed under the hard drive boot order. Set your "Boot Device Priority" to HDD first, then set the hard drive boot order to the USB stick first.

    Boot linux on USB drive

it might just be that your bios doesn't support it, but it should anyway.

make sure you go into the bios and make sure "boot other device" is enabled and try seeing if the usb is listed as an hdd.. as bootable flash drives are usually picked up as usb hdd's and check if your bios detects the flash drive.

I can't find my USB flash drive in the boot order settings.

Correct boot order if you want to boot from USB Flash Drive?

What is the correct boot order on BIOS Boot menu if I want to boot my laptop from a USB Flash Drive?

Is This Correct (My BIOS Default)?

    1. CD/DVD ROM
    2. USB
    3. USB Floppy
    4. Hard Disk
    5. Network Device
