Windows 10: Windows isn't notifying users when updates are ready to install

Discus and support Windows isn't notifying users when updates are ready to install in Windows 10 Installation and Upgrade to solve the problem; In group policy we have the 'Configure Automatic Updates' setting enabled and configured to the third option (Auto download and notify for install).... 1. Windows isn't notifying users when updates are ready to install

In group policy we have the 'Configure Automatic Updates' setting enabled and configured to the third option (Auto download and notify for install). Recently however updates just haven't been downloading (instead saying that the machine is up to date) or if they do download they do not notify the user.

This seems to be happening company wide, with a few complaints happening as we have to prompt the user ourselves.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I know for a fact this used to work and am unsure as to why it no longer notifys the user.

We are using Windows 10 1809 and Windows Server 2016.

    Thanks,

    Ewan

  2. Printer isn´t working after latest update.

After the latest update from Windows, my Canon Pixma ip6600 printer isnt working. In Device Manager it shows up as working properly but when I go to print it isn´t listed as an option in any programs. Troubleshoot suggests it´s a USB 2 printer on a USB
3 port and that that´s the problem but that cant be since it worked fine before the update. I´ve tried to uninstall and plug it back in but that doesn´t work either.
