Windows 10: Pc is logging into Temporary account after updating to Windows 10 1903

I did the may 2019 update: next day when I tried to sign on, windows does not recognize my password, opens as if I am a new Microsoft/windows account ( home screen with a window) and all folders/photos (and some apps) missing. I'm asked to set up new account because it says I'm using their temporary password...anything/work done or downloaded will not be saved when I shut down.

This happened last year....same problem/desktop screen, Microsoft posted an acknowledged and fixed without me doing anything. IS THIS GOING TO HAPPEN AGAIN OR AM I @@@@@?

When I log in to my PC, it logs me in with a temporary account

I have been a Windows 10 PC, never had a problem with it before. Just today whenever I log in, it logs me in with a temporary account and just suggests I try signing out then signing back in. Have tried this several times and it doesn't work. The other
user account on this PC works just fine though. Is it something wrng with my Windows Live ID or is it a software issue? How can I fix it?

 

Windows 10 Tweaks

As you may already know, Windows 10 (as well as Windows 8) allow you to log in with a valid Microsoft account, instead of creating a local account that only works on your machine. However, you may prefer to keep a local account for privacy reasons. If you do, though, some Windows 10 features—like Cortana—may not work. Despite the default behavior, the Windows 10 Store is not one of them. You can still log in to your Microsoft account for just the Store without switching to a full Microsoft account. The process, however, is not terribly obvious. To do so, follow these steps:

• Launch the Store from your Start menu.
• Click the user icon next to the search box.
• Click “Sign-in” from the menu that appears.
• Choose “Microsoft account” and log in like normal.
• When the “Make it yours” box appears do not enter your password. Instead, click “Sign in to just this app instead.”

How to change temporary account to permanent account in Windows 10.

Before assisting further, I would like to ask you few questions:

• 
  What do you mean by “temporary profile”?
  
• 
  Are you logged into a temporary user profile?
  

If you are logged in into a temporary profile, I suggest you to reboot the PC and check if the issue is resolved. If the issue persists, I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if the issue is resolved.

Step 1: Enable built-in administrator account.

• 
  Open Elevated command prompt by entering
  Safe mode with Command prompt. To go to safe mode, use the power button on the sign-in screen and press
  Shift + Restart. This will take you to the recovery boot menu. Click
  Troubleshoot> Advanced options> Startup settings.
  You then see a list where you can choose Safe Mode with Command prompt.
  
• 
  Type the following command: net user administrator /active:yes
  
• 
  Login into the built in administrator user profile and create a new user profile with administrator privileges.
  
• 
  Delete the corrupted user account from the built in administrator.
  
• 
  Then lock your screen by pressing Windows key + L, and sign-in at the
  Administrator account.
  
• 
  Check if the issue persist and you can disable built in administrator account by typing the command:
  net user administrator /active:no
  in the Command prompt (Admin).
  

Step 2: To create a new user account
follow the steps below:

• 
  Open Elevated command prompt by right clicking on the
  Start icon and select Command prompt (Admin).
  
• 
  Type net user NewAccount password /add
  and click Enter.
  
• 
  Type net localgroup Administrators NewAccount /add and click
  Enter.
  
• 
  Log off from the system and login to the new user account.
