  1. Holding New Laptop for Ransom

I got my new Dell laptop May 11. May 12 Microsoft said Outlook and Windows Hello passwords wrong so my laptop was being held hostage. I was denied the use of my laptop, my perfectly good printer, all the software I installed on it. I learned how to disable Windows Hello, the snooze sign in. Yesterday I was told I had to have Windows Hello. I can't type a password to get access to my computer so I can disable it again. The keyboard doesn't work on Windows Hello ransom demand. I was told they probably did an update without my permission and changed all my settings. It is my computer and my settings. I can't remove the battery to stop Microsoft from sabotaging my computer. They screwed all the photos I uploaded. According to Microsoft, I had a digital camera in 1980. It is my computer and I want access to it at all times. I am retired and can't go out and buy a Chromebook or Apple right away. I have to use old laptop. I am out $600 for laptop, printer, software I can't use because some idiot keeps telling me my passwords are not correct. Nowhere was it ever shown in stores or on Dell website, that I would be constantly denied access to my property. I have no right as a property owner to my personal home laptop which sits on a desk, does not get taken out in public anywhere. I do not need to sign in to use my computer. Every Hotmail or Outlook account I ever had got hacked so I have to sign in with an account that will end up getting hacked. I want my money back because it is not right that I had my money just stolen from me. I paid in good faith for property that will not worked, keeps getting changed back to settings I do not want, and is absolutely useless! I am tired of wasting my time on this garbage! I will contact Attorney Generals office, Better Business Bureau, and AARP because the customer response is lousy and pretty much nonexistent.

    :)

New Trojan that Demands a Ransom

There is a new virus out there discovered by virus hunters known as "Cryzip". The Trojan encrypts your files and then demands a $300 ransom for the decryption password to get your files back. After encrypting the files, the virus leaves a nice step-by-step guide of how to go about paying the ransom off. It's supposedly spread through email Spam, and has successfully evaded anti-virus scanners.
