Windows 10: getting a word count for multiple word docs

Discus and support getting a word count for multiple word docs in Windows 10 Network and Sharing to solve the problem; Hi All, I am writing a book and now have 240 mini-chapters done, I think about two volumes worth.     getting a word count for multiple word docs


    Hi All, I am writing a book and now have 240 mini-chapters done, I think about two volumes worth. I can get the file explorer to show the word count for each of them but I can't find how to get a tally for all chapters together. I'm not married to doing this through file explorer either if there is a better way. thanks, for looking, sh

    Word Count Column in File Explorer

    Assuming that you have MS Word installed, Word Count is not displayed for .rtf format. This is displayed for .docx / .doc formats.

    Word Count Column in File Explorer comes up blank when used on .doc files?

    So, I needed to get a word count on over 300 .txt files (so I could delete some low-count ones I didn't need); I found that file explorer has a way to organize files by word count, but can only do so on .doc files. So, I bulk converted these files to .doc
    files, but for some reason the word count column comes up as blank. Can anyone help me resolve this issue? I desperately need to find a way to get this to work.

    accidental Word doc closed

    I was working on a Word doc (office 2007) & accidentally closed the document. Am I totally screwed or is there a way to recall it?
