Windows 10: Windows 10 is activated, but warns that license will expire soon

I have not used my Lenovo ideapad for some time, and when I fired it up this morning I received a message saying that my windows 10 license will expire soon, and directing me to the activation page in settings.


I bought this computer with windows 10 installed, and it has worked perfectly for over a year. I updated Office and windows 10, and rebooted. The message persisted. The activation page tells me that it IS activated; it looks perfectly normal and offers no troubleshooting link.


I tried using "wmic path SoftwareLicensingService get OA3xOriginalProductKey" in CMD run as admin, and I simply got "OA3xOriginalProductKey" as a response. I do not have a license key, or if I did have one, I have lost it.


So I am stuck: the computer is working just fine, but I am alarmed as to whether the license will expire, and what happens when it does. I thought that the license has no expiry - am I wrong?

What is the meaning of the warning notice "Your Windows license will expire soon. You need to activate Windows in Settings". Does this require you to purchase a Windows license even though you are using a license with came with the laptop computer you
purchased several years ago?

I'm having Windows 10 in my laptop which is pre-installed while buying it from the shop. Now, a warning message popped up saying, "Your windows license will expire soon. You need to activate windows in settings". But it's not supposed to show like this
because it's already installed while buying. I'm confused.. Please help!!!
