    Media Creation Tool v1903 Error 0x80042405-0xA001B


    Why am I getting Error 0x80042405-0xA001B during the stage it tries to format the USB flash drive after it finishes downloading Windows 10? This happens at around 50% when creating installation media. The only workaround is to download the ISO and use Rufus to write the ISO. This is not a fix but is only a workaround.

    What causes 0x80042405-0xa001a error at 50% during creating Windows 10 Media on USB flash drive when running the Media Creation Tool? I have Windows 10 April 2018 Update and need to update the installation media.

    When will the Windows Media Creation Tool offer Windows 10 v1903

    We have 5 computers and I want to upgrade them to v1903 with a clean install using the Media Creation Tool rather than the automatic upgrade from Windows update.

    Media Creation Tool error.

    Everytime my Media Creation Tool tries to create USB with Windows 10 install it pops up error 0x80042405 -- 0xA001A . Its after 100% complete download and creating media is around 50% + then it pops up . We are sorry but you have to contact technical support
    error : 0x80042405 -- 0xA001A.
