    win 10 failed update

I have only a good update to 1703. After that all upgrades failed (KB4134660).

I ve used MS support help and nothing. She couldnt resolve upgrade from 1703 to 1803. Answer was: take a fresh start.

After fresh start all the same. My RAM is 8 GB , so do I need for all those updates a new one 32 GB ? My PC is full (only win fails ,folders) and Chrome and out of memory.

    Any suggest...or back on win 7 ?

    :)

When you finish testing the Avast suggestion, make sure that you restart your machine.

Then if the issue persists, please return to the trouble shooting list in post# 89

I think there are three steps that remain; the WU troubleshooter, reset WU components, and manual WU reset.

    Win 10 updates fail

OK - Have disabled AVG and have turned off Windows firewall and have tried both suggestions above

Windows update troubleshooter found two issues that it was unable to fix

And resetting the update components made no difference !!

The issue still stands - the Win 7 installation will not update

And in order to upgrade to Win 10 - the Win 7 needs to be fully updated - is there some way round this - I need to be able to carry out a clean install - but using the original key code .....

There is NO error code provided

    Any more suggestions ?

    Windows 10 fails to update

    Thanks,

The Users list compared to the Profile list you posted earlier tell me there is not an issue with Users (a known issue where there is a profile in the list, but not actual User folder).

The error code suggests corruption in the CBS manifest:
