Windows 10: Copy/Paste stops working and weird glitch on Windows Explorer address bar appears

Hello, since a couple weeks ago there's been a really annoying bug which happens randomly while I'm using my computer:

My copy/paste function stops working completely but only on windows and browsers, if I open any text editor or image I can copy and paste within them as usual, I can even copy text from a .txt file and paste on the browsers address bar and such. I just can't copy anything from my internet browsers or from windows explorer.


And exactly when this problem starts, this glitch appears as well on my windows explorer:




The problem persists on single screen(I use dual extended screens) and only sometimes gets fixed when I restart Windows Explorer on task manager, only a reboot can fix this but it happens so often and randomly I don't even know what to do anymore. It can be a few minutes to a few days until the problem appears after reboot.


I tried:

- Checkdisk no problems

- mdsched.exe no problems

- Restarting rdpclip.exe

- Restarting explorer.exe

- Reinstalling geforce drivers all over again



Weirdly enough, I noticed ALL streaming websites are getting laggy audio after a while so I ran latencymon and got this result, I don't know if it's related but it started happening around the same time.






Thank you in advance for the assistance, I'll try to answer all questions and give as much information as I can since microsoft's support doesn't want to help me without having to pay for "premium" support...

Copy / Paste from Edge Address Bar Question


It works in Edge exactly as it works in other browsers (possible exception: never used FF, don't know about that): you click on address bar, the URL is automatically selected and you can copy it. If you unselect the URL and right click, you cannot copy it.

Windows Explorer Copy and Paste problems

Hi,

The copy/paste problem could be due to Windows Explorer issue or faulty keyboard.

Wewould like to know some information to better isolate the problem:

• Is the issue also happening when trying to copy/paste any Office files, or is it only happening in Windows Explorer?
• Have you tried other ways like; right-click + Copy, then right-click + Paste?
  
• What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

Thanks for the suggestion, Bree. Unfortunately it doesn't appear to help in this case. Maybe "corruption" is the wrong word for what's happening to the clipboard. Maybe "captured" - eg. by the remote session - is a more accurate way of describing what's going on. Further experimenting appears to have revealed that I'm still able to copy and paste within each remote session, but not between sessions or between a session and my physical workstation. Annoyingly, however, once it stops working I can't copy (or paste) anything at all on my physical workstation - eg. even within Notepad or Word, etc.
