Windows 10: Security/Support Access

I've spent an hour trying to access support and the only tech I was sent to, repeatedly, maintained that he was not the person to contact for security services. He even gave me links that returned me to his Azure site, so he asked why I contacted him again. When I write Azure, in the address, because I spent all that money to be harassed, I get his window with the title AZURE. When I identified myself as just another sucker, I was given five promises, by the robot, of a technician and immediately was blocked. Now, I'm beginning to think Microsoft isn't the solution to my problems and never was. The scanner can't find anything wrong even when I'm being hacked with pop ups and the tech is being blocked when he tries to reboot. He just disappears. Regardless of the attacks, not one single virus has ever been located by defender and I have no reason to believe it even could. I run full scans and they last three minutes. Are you kidding?

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

 

Microsoft Edge TLS Security


After trying everything (not a lot of steps) listed in the Microsoft Edge support site, I did a wider search and found this very simple youtube video that fixed it immediately:

For those who prefer not to click links the steps are simple:

1. Click in the Cortana search bar next to the Win 10 Start button

2. Type internet options

3. Select internet options (control panel) from the list

4. Click on the advanced tab

5. Scroll down to the security section

6. Make sure the following are all clicked:
Use SSL 3.0
Use TLS 1.0
Use TLS 1.1
Use TLS 1.2

7. Click apply

8. Refresh the page that was giving the error and it should now connect.

Hope this helps, it was a 30 second fix after hours of pounding my head against the error with the Support site suggestions.

 

File history on USB security user access

Hi,

To isolate this concern, we suggest that you follow the steps below:

• Open File History folder.
• Select all the files that you don't want to be accessed.
• Right-click on the highlighted files and choose Properties.
  
• Go to Security tab.
• Click on Advanced.
• Select all the user account that you don't want to have access on your File History folder.
• Click on Disable inheritance.
• Lastly, click on OK.
