Windows 10: Export contacts/people from local cache

Hi everyone,


I have a People account on my desktop for which I don't have the official (online) account anymore (deleted).


However, for some reason, I lost all my contacts, but these are still available in the People App (which can no longer sync with the original account).


How can I export these contacts, so I can import them again in some other mail/contact application?

How do I export contacts from the People App or my Microsoft online account? Or is there any way to import the contact list to Outlook 16 ?

Can you tell me where the Contacts are stored?

I also want to back up the Contacts.

In Outlook, People I clicked to Export to a File. It lists Contacts and 2 folders under it with long numerical filenames. What are these folders?

Hi Beth,

The contacts that are listed on your Windows 10 mail app are listed under your People app. The feature to export contacts from the people app is not yet available, but you can log into your People online using your Microsoft account to export your contacts.
