Windows 10: Dolphin GameCube emulator FPS drops to 10FPS

I only use this machine for playing Dolphin (Gamecube emulator), it worked fine a month ago, but then an update was forced on me and the emulator started running at 10FPS (60 is normal). I messed with windows settings and drivers and the situation kept getting worse until Dolphin just didn't run. I took it to an IT repair place who fixed it (btw completely unfair that I had to pay to reverse a buggy update that I didn't even want) and everything was fine... For about 2 weeks when the exact same thing happened again. Windows updated itself with absolutely no warning and now Dolphin is running at 10FPS. When I tried to update the drivers, Windows said that my drivers were up-to-date, but that I should check Windows Update as it might be able to find better drivers, so I checked Windows Update and it said there was an update pending. I let it update and restarted my machine... and now my mouse doesn't work either!


So understandably, I'm annoyed. I believe the issue is driver-related, but I'm no good with IT stuff or Windows, so I don't know if my hunch is even correct, and if it is, what I should do. I refuse to pay to have this fixed again, because 1) I shouldn't have to and 2) It'll just happen again in a couple of weeks. If I could just get my mouse to work it'd be a start.

What do you think is helping? I suggested a build and there it is. We gave you an AMD and a Intel build with you picking on personal preference. Your standards for "help" are a bit off there bud.

 

FPS drop


Anyone know to completely remove the AMD Crimson drivers? Frame rate has gone to hell. Was pulling 42+ FPS in WoW with original drivers. Has now dropped to 10FPS under the AMD drivers.
