    Windows Home Buttons and Win + R not working- please help!


    Hello,


    I have a new Acer Aspire 3 laptop running Windows 10.


    My Windows Home buttons (i.e. everything on the tool bar apart from Firefox and the Folders buttons) have completely stopped working. Win + R can bring up certain things, but I don't know most of the shortcuts I need to be typing in for it and the one thing that would apparently be helpful in this situation ms-settings just brings up a message saying I need to open the store to download it and then crashes when trying to do this.


    As I can't seem to access Windows update or any of the troubleshooting programs I feel rather stuck. Any advice would be much appreciated!

    could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

    Hi Ankit,

    Many thanks for your kind help. This is the 2nd time I have tried these fixes and they do not work.

    Start button still not working. System locks up and I have to reboot when using any media.

    Hi Susan,

    I would like to inform that the command you enter in the dialog box after pressing
    Win Button+R is case sensitive. I suggest that you copy and paste the command onto the dialog box and proceed with the rest of the troubleshooting steps provided in the link. The command is
    ms-settings:
