Windows 10: Ram installed in System but not Showing in Task Manager

Hi Iam using Hp Laptop Model-HP Notebook-15-ba001ax ,My system was lagging so I thought of Installing Another 4 Gb RAM

So I have installed the Same Ram I found in My System that is

SK Hynix HMT451S6BFR8A-PB NO AA 4GB 1600MHz DDR3 PC3-12800 204 Pin SO-DIMM Laptop RAM
SO i have bought another 4 gb ram of same configuration and installed it in laptop.

SO I have totally 8 gb in my Laptop

I have mother board of model HP 81F6 66.43

Serial number (motherboard): PFXMBH41U37FQ2

SKU Number: W6T51PA#ACJ
Bios version: F.34


When i checked in task manager-> Performance it is showing that

Memory 2.8/3.4 GB

So why my system not using it total 8 gb Ram



3.45 GB total memory type DDR3 to 798.38 MHz

I have also checked this in system info under settings

it is showing that only 3.45 GB is usable

Please help to make 8 gb of my system ram is usable

• You may visit
  Lenovo Support - "Support Home Page"
• Try to detect your system and check whether you have RAM 4GB/8GB

1* - You have 2 RAM of 4GB

2* - Task Manager shows you have 8GB

3* - 3.8GB(in use) + 3.8GB(cached) + 0.624MB(Hardware Reserved) + 0.230MB(Pool) = 8GB(approx. more)

Note:

• 1GB = 1024MB
• It seems you have more than 8GB RAM
• You might be using any RAM Boost Software

 

Task manager reports ram is ddr2, but i am using ddr3 ram.

We suggest you to check the Ram from the BIOS setup and check if its showing up correctly. Further we suggest you to update the BIOS from the manufacturer website and check if it resolves the issue. You can enter the BIOS by booting up to your system and
then press

F2 key or any other key mentioned on the Start of the system

• Turn the computer on.
• If you see an invitation to press the F2 or other key to enter Setup, do so.
• The Setup (BIOS) screen will appear.
