    HP Probook G2 450 WiFi adapter switches off immediately after switching on


    Hi,

    My HP Probook G2 450 WiFi adapter switches off immediately after switching on. When Win 10 starts up, it starts up with the WiFi adapter off. This is indicated by the hardware switch on the computer itself, as well as in network settings. Clicking on the button in Network settings to switch it on, it momentarily switches on, only to briefly flash the available networks, and then switches off completely Toggling the switch on the PC iteself, only toggles between WiFi and Airplane mode, but does not switch WiFi on.

    I have turned off the power management option for the adapter in Device Manager, reloaded drivers, removed hardware in Device Manager and let Win reinstall the driver, but no success.


    Now I am out of ideas. Is there anyone with some light on this please?

    HP Probook 650 G2 wifi problem

    Hello everyone,

    I got a HP Probook 650 G2 laptop but can't get wifi working. Wired connection works good. There's no wifi adapter in Device Manager. Wifi button in the upper right corner is in orange. When i press it, the only thing it does is turning airplane mode on/off. Downloaded and installed all newest official drivers from HP website, ran HP Support Assistant software utility, updated BIOS, looked in there for any clue of wlan/wifi etc... nothing. External wifi antenna with Atheros drivers works fine. Can someone help me to get internal wifi adapter working? How else can i check if it's connected to PC properly without disassembling laptop? Thanks in advance.

    Hi Jonas,

    Thank you for the update.

    Have you tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling the Fingerprint driver?

    Just to verify, please refer to the following link, choose Windows 10 (64-bit) as the operating system and expand the node
    Driver - Keyboard, Mouse an Input Devices. Download and install the Synaptics (Validity) Fingerprint Sensor Driver and check if the issue persists.
