Possibly Windows 10 update from 11-Jun-2019 broke my laptop

    Introduction:

I have Sony VAIO form 2011. It came with Windows7. My current Windows 10: v1809 build 17763.557

    7-Jun-2019: I burned a CD successfully.

12-Jun-2019: These Microsoft security updates were automatically downloaded and installed on my laptop

    KB4503327 KB4504369

The update of 11-Jun-2019 changed build number: June 11, 2019—KB4503327 (OS Build 17763.557)

Possibly Windows 10 update from 11-Jun-2019 broke my laptop c6472443-89db-40b8-9f4d-1be83b30445e?upload=true.jpg

The problem I discovered on 20-June-2019:

My CD/DVD drive is no longer working. Even if there is a CD or DVD, the system keeps prompting to enter a CD. Ejects do not work. Only the manual eject works.

Is it possible that Window upgrade from 11-Jun-2019 broke my beloved laptop which worked without problems since 2011?

Is there any solution? Perhaps uninstall the 2 updates from 12-Jun. Perhaps restore the system to prior 12-Jun-2019.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks

    Ramon

    :)

Only supported on Win10. Sorry, 8.1 users, only 4 years old, gotta go.

Microsoft Office 2019 will only work on Windows 10

    Spoiler Office 2019
Last year at Ignite, we announced Office 2019 – the next perpetual version of Office that includes apps (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and Skype for Business) and servers (including Exchange, SharePoint, and Skype for Business). Today we’re pleased to share the following updates:

    • Office 2019 will ship in H2 of 2018. Previews of the new apps and servers will start shipping in the second quarter of 2018.
    • Office 2019 apps will be supported on:
      • Any supported Windows 10 SAC release
      • Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2018
      • The next LTSC release of Windows Server
    • The Office 2019 client apps will be released with Click-to-Run installation technology only. We will not provide MSI as a deployment methodology for Office 2019 clients. We will continue to provide MSI for Office Server products.

  3. Laptop overheating issues after June 2019 update

    Hi Microsoft

I use a Dell Inspiron 13 5368 laptop. The Windows 10 in my system automatically updated my laptop to the June 11, 2019 update (KB4503286) and since then I am experiencing extreme overheating issues with my system. My OS build is
17134.829. Please suggest a way to rollback or solve this problem before my motherboard is toast.

    Sincerely
