Windows 10: Where Has My Bluetooth Driver Gone?

I have been experiencing issues with my Bluetooth.

I recently bought a pair of Bluetooth headphones for my phone and hoped they'd be compatible with my computer. But when I went to my settings, the on and off button for Bluetooth didn't even exist. I then attempted to connect it through the "Add Bluetooth or other device" button, but trying to connect a device only lead to my computer telling me to turn Bluetooth on, or updating a driver.

I then went online, searching for a guide to help me with my Bluetooth. I found one that told me to do something regarding finding the Bluetooth driver in Device Manager. I opened it, but found zero drivers, it didn't even exist, and neither did the buttons that were supposed to help me see if my computer was even Bluetooth compatible.

I tried restarting my Bluetooth driver by pressing Windows + R and typing "services.msc". I tried to find "Restart Bluetooth Support Service" but that didn't exist either.

I have tried downloading Bluetooth drivers, updating windows 10, and searching every part of my computer for my Bluetooth services, but they just don't exist anymore, and I don't know what to do.

Try these procedures:

Before proceeding, we need more information to help you better.

Did you checked whether the Bluetooth device is listed under hidden devices in Device manager?

Have you checked whether the Bluetooth driver is listed under installed programs under Programs and features? (As you have reinstalled the Bluetooth.)

Note:

In device manager, click on "view" tab and select "show hidden devices" and check whether Bluetooth device/driver is listed.

To check the drivers installed in Programs and features, Press Windows + X keys on the keyboard and select Programs and features and check whether the Bluetooth driver is installed.

Until you get back to us with the required information, follow the below steps and check if it helps.

Step 1:

I would suggest you check if Bluetooth Support service is started.

Press Windows + R keys on the keyboard, type services.msc and press OK.

Now, find Bluetooth Support Service and start it

Double click on the Bluetooth Support Service set the startup type as Automatic.

Bluetooth's mobile phone drivers

Thank you for using Windows 10.

I would suggest you to update the Bluetooth drivers as the initial troubleshooting steps and check. Here is the steps:

• Press Windows+X key on your desktop and select
  Device Manager.
• Locate Bluetooth drivers, expand, right click and click on Update.
  

If it doesn’t help, then I would suggest you to uninstall
and re-install the Bluetooth drivers in compatibility mode. Here is the steps:

• Go to your manufacturer’s website and download the
  Driver’s setup file for your computer.
• Press Windows Key + R on your desktop screen to go to run box.
• Type devmgmt.msc and hit Enter.
• Under Driver, expand, then right click and select
  Uninstall.
• If you are prompted to Confirm then Confirm.
• Go to the location where you had saved your downloaded setup files of the drivers and
  right click, then select Properties.
• Select Compatibility Tab.
• Place a check mark next to Run this program in Compatibility mode and select the operating system accordingly from the drop down list.
• Let the driver to install and then check the functionality.
