add time between password entry and link to local folders to OneNote for Windows

I have used OneNote 2016 for years, and from time to time check out OneNote for Windows 10 to see if it's got the features that are important to me so I can switch over. Two things about OneNote for Windows 10 are still a problem for me.

    1) There seems to be no option to set how long it takes for inactivity to lock a password-protected section, so the password needs to be reentered every 5 minutes or so. OneNote 2016 has such an option.

    2) There is no way to insert a link to a local folder or file. You can do this easily in OneNote 2016.

Am I just not seeing how to do these things, or are they really not possible with OneNote for Windows 10?

    Thanks for any information...

    :)

Can't log into OneNote and other apps. Problem with accounts?

    I tried what you suggested.

Went to user account and clicked link to use Microsoft account to log in.

email and password accepted at first. Then there was a reprompt for the password and this time the password was NOT accepted. Perhaps the first entry hadn't really been accepted - maybe that was the reason for the reprompt. No way to tell. The result was the same as trying to get into OneNote.

    Wierd. wierd.

Has anyone heard of a bug in the Windows 10 Microsoft account login? I did find references to a bug at other sites but cannot find that site again.

    Thanks for trying, MountainDoc.
