  1. Npcap holds some connections hostage after loss and restore of connectivity

I have a Comcast connection that comes and goes... usually at the most inopportune times. I have found that just breaking the router coax connection for 10 seconds restores Internet access... usually. That is preferable to the hassle associated with getting Comcast's help. There is only one major drawback to this "solution" and that involves the Npcap loopback adapter.

After a connection loss is restored, the network icon continues to indicate that there is no Internet connectivity. However, the majority of my Internet activity, e.g., Firefox, argue that my rig is connected just fine. However, it appears that any native Windows 10 tool (Edge, direct OS accesses like a system updates) agree with the Internet icon. The only way I have found to convince Windows that I have Internet access is to reboot the system. This is a PITA.

Anyone over there have any suggestions?

    :)
