Windows 10: Howto rename my Android phone in "Your Phone" app and in https://account.microsoft.com/devices/

In the Your Phone app the https://account.microsoft.com/devices/ page, my phone is shown as "Xperia XA2".


My previous phone, an "Xperia Z3 Compact" was correctly shown as "Cazzati" in https://account.microsoft.com/devices/, I didn't use the Your Phone app then.


I already renamed my new phone as "Offenbach", even before I installed the Your Phone app, but it still appears as "Xperia XA2". I renamed my phone in the About Phone and Wi-Fi Direct settings, which was what I did with my previous Xperia, to be shown correctly in https://account.microsoft.com/devices/. However, for my new Xperia, apparently this doesn't work.


I've now also renamed it in the Bluetooth and WiFi Hotspot settings, although I doubt this could help. I then disconnected my phone and reinstalled the Your Phone app, but it still shows up as "Xperia XA2".


Any idea how I could change this?

Microsoft wants to convert Android devices to Windows 10 phones...


The screen shots below are my android LG Ultimate 2 (L41C) phone running the android app Launcher 8 Free.

It's a free android program launcher app that makes your android phone look like and operate like a Windows phone in many ways.

We also own Nokia Lumia 520 and 635 Windows phones, so I'm quite familiar with the real Windows phone. This app is very close to the real thing.

There are no real Windows programs or apps involved. This is 100% android.

I can't get over how much this makes my L41C look, feel and operate like a windows phone.
Those of you familiar with Windows phone should give it a try. It replicates the Windows 8 home screen, app screen, various settings screens, etc. You can resize, re-color, change, delete and move the program tiles around and assign them to various android apps. The home screen even slides to the left to reveal the apps screen, just like a Windows phone. The lock screen even operates like a Windows phone, you slide it up to unlock the phone. The app installs as easily as any other android app.

How Windows Phone Is Turning Its Slim App Selection Into a Strength

Windows Phone has tons of advantages by sharing components (like .NET and Windows Marketplace) with it's Windows brethren. It takes less effort to produce a quality program for both platforms than it does for Android and iOS. Microsoft is pursuing quality over quantity.

Most people only use maybe 10 apps to get functionality not provided by default with the device. If Windows Phone has something functionally the same as those 10 apps on iOS or Android, the argument is moot.

Case in point: pick the features you absolutely can't live without on any phone and compare them. Are they built into the OS? If there is not, is there an app available to add that functionality? Does the solution meet your expectations? Answer those questions for each functionality to find which platform is best for you.
