    Windows won't boot and Troubleshoot is not recognizing OS anymore


    About 24 hours ago when i was using my laptop (Lenovo Legion Y730-15ICH) I got a windows prompt saying my laptop will restart automatically in a minute. I guessed it had downloaded an update it wanted to install(not sure if it is a lenovo update or a windows update).


    After my laptop restarted it had the automatic startup repair loop and no advanced option seemed to work. I tried creating a system restore from a restore point but it failed. Then i tried using the reset PC option, it also failed. After this it gave me an option to boot into the windows recovery environment or the windows 10 OS. I clicked on the windows 10 OS but then again it didn't boot. Then realized i couldn't find the Continue to windows 10 button anymore. All the advanced options are not even starting because they can not recognize any OS of the PC.


    The command prompt shows me no sign of a drive c when i try to switch to it . Startup repair doesn't save the log file to the drive c anymore. System restore tells me to select an operating system and so on. I then tried to get a windows 10 recovery usb drive but it doesn't recognize the OS too when i click on repair computer. I really want to fix this issue without having to lose my files, please help.

    windows 10 home x64 won´t recognize my second xeon

    I have a dual xeon computer (xeon e5620). I upgraded this week to Windows 10 home and now my pc won´t recognize my second processor. Any help? Thanks in advance.

    Which steps did you perform? Was this from a clean boot?
    Open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste this command: shutdown /r /o /f /t 00
    It will boot to the recovery options or windows advanced troubleshooting menu.
    Click troubleshooting and click reset this computer. You will be saving files. Applications and programs will be removed. Windows will be reinstalled.
    Enter your windows logon password.
    You will see getting things ready with rotating dots.
    Click resetting this PC.
    It will then display the HP logo with resetting this PC with rotating dots and a percentage.
